Did you ever wonder what M&M chocolates stand for? The “colorful button-shaped candies” are named after the initials of the creators – Mars and Murrie. The chocolates are produced by Mars Incorporated, and have the alphabet “m” printed on one side of the shell. They are available today in a variety of fillings – milk chocolate, dark chocolate, peanuts, almonds, peanut butter, and so on. Not only is there a variety in filling, they are produced in a myriad of colors!
